Some quick thoughts on exercise during Covid-19

Exercise might be a great way to take care of your mental and physical health right now OR it might feel like just another to-do list task to contend with in the midst of a global pandemic.

If moving your body is helping you cope, great, but it’s also okay if just keeping your life together right now is challenge enough. Rest is important too, both physical and mental, and we’ve got to take it where we can get it.

You can do some high intensity movement if you want to, you can do some gentle movement if that feels better, or you can just hunker down and watch Netflix while you find your feet. You can use this time to work on your fitness but you don’t HAVE to, and it’s 100% ok if that’s not how you spend this time.

Movement is a tool, and it’s about figuring out how to use it not to harm but to help you. If that means putting it down sometimes, that’s valid too.
