On moving your body

Sure, we all have 24 hours in a day, but we don’t all have the same financial position, health, ability, injuries, responsibilities, jobs, age, priorities, likes and dislikes, people depending on us to care for them, mental health, requirements for sleep and rest, competing passions and goals, schedules etc etc.

When you’re moving your body for YOU, not to keep up with or impress others, or as Brene Brown would say “hustle for your worthiness”, it is more than ok to just do what you can, when you can, how you can and to see it as a gift to your health, a way of caring for yourself and your body, every time.

If you can frame moving your body as something you do to help your mind and body be resilient and energetic enough to do all the other things that are important to you, you can use that framework to make good choices about how and when and how much you move.

Whatever you do or don’t do, try to be kind to yourself and don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. We’re all just doing our best ❤
